HEALTH & SAFTEY

What we are doing to provide a safe environment!

What we are doing to provide a safe student environment...

We have been cleaning and preparing our studio with the most effective disinfectant systems and sanitation procedures, along with expanding on our already active Guidelines & Procedures for Studio Cleaning & Safe Practices.

We are using industrial strength cleaners to perform daily deep cleaning on all surfaces in the studio on a continuous basis at the end of each day of studio use.

For more general, ongoing cleaning, we are using a hospital grade and EPA registered disinfectant solution that kills 99.9% germs & viruses.

General cleaning will be performed in between all classes throughout the night upon class change.

DAILY DEEP CLEAN

We have sanitizer stations located in each ballroom and throughout the studio which contain medical grade disinfectants for surface wipe downs.

There are more hand sanitizer pumps available in all ballrooms and through the studio for student & faculty use.

SANITIZER STATIONS & HAND SANITIZER PUMPS

All faculty are fully trained into a cleaning force at our studio & will mobilize in disinfecting all high touch & high traffic areas after each class at the studio.

All faculty will have their temperature taken before their shift and will be provided a free studio facemask for use.

All of us here at KKS will help students with handwashing before class & the use of our studio hand sanitizers before & after class.

All faculty are fully trained on positive re-enforcement & sensitivity to all student’s emotional needs during high stress times.

TRAINED FACULTY

We have purchased a True HEPA Filter Air Purifiers for the studio. The CDC recommends the addition of air purifiers to aid in the prevention of virus spread.

In addition we have purchased and will continually using a higher efficient air filter for all our HVAC Systems. True HEPA filters will filter out completely microns down to .3 microns with 99.97% efficiency rate.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

GUIDELINES

We are closely following the CDC and state health guidelines to facilitate social distancing, and want to ensure that all of our students have enough comfortable space to learn in.

There will be markers on the floor in ballrooms to help students properly social distance in class.

We will have 10 minutes between classes in order to properly enter & exit the building without large numbers.

We will be practicing our SLA Policy until further notice. CLICK HERE for full policy.

You will notice deliberate spacing between chairs in the lobby and students in class with markers on the floor.

We will have markers for line up to go across the floor.

Dance number choreography & spacing will reflect special awareness to guidelines.

INCREASED SPACE BETWEEN STUDENTS

Our dance cubbies will not be available for use in classes. Our homework bar will be closed.

Students will be asked to bring into the studio one dance bag and one water bottle for their use for the time of class. Please refrain from multiple bags & needing to change clothing.

Student bags & student belongings will be placed around the border of the room for proper distancing.

NEW CUBBIE & STUDENT BAG POLICY

Our availability of class size is determined by state guidelines which is set by the amount of people in a class based on square footage and proper 6’ social distancing.

Some class day & times may change or may be cancelled temporarily. Please see your Parent Portal or Temporary Class Schedule emailed to you.

We are adding a 10 minute buffer between classes for cleaning.

REDUCED CLASS SIZE OR CLASSES

We have made brand new portable Ballet Barres for our student’s use.

Students will have assigned bar locations to ensure proper learning space.

All Ballet Barres will be cleaned after each class.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Helping to keep our communities safe and healthy is top priority and there are a few things you can do to follow the current CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Most importantly, if you feel sick, have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing or in the last 2 weeks been in close contact with a person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19, please stay home to rest and recover.

USE HAND SANITIZER

Use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

SOCIAL DISTANCE

Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even inside your home. If possible, maintain 6 feet between the person who is sick and other household members.

WASH YOUR HANDS

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

BRING YOUR OWN

Bring your own towel and yoga mat or wear face masks if you desire.

DANCE ON DEMAND

For many of you who are enjoying our Virtual Dance Classes, we will continue to offer these convenient options in the near future.

If you’ve been one of the awesome students that have been participating in Virtual Dance Classes, you'll be happy to know that we will soon be rocking those again in addition to our regular in studio classes !  We’ve had so much positive feedback, that we will be launching a new Kyle Kahn Studios OnDemand service so you can stream live and recorded videos anywhere and anytime.

Of course this will never take the place of in person dance instruction but will become a great added resource to further your learning and practice.

More details coming soon!

Once again, from the bottom of the hearts,

thank you for being part of our family, and thank you for all your support and understanding!

We can’t wait to see you in our studio again soon! Dance Family For Life!
