HEALTH & SAFTEY

What we are doing to provide a safe student environment...

We have been cleaning and preparing our studio with the most effective disinfectant systems and sanitation procedures, along with expanding on our already active Guidelines & Procedures for Studio Cleaning & Safe Practices. 

HEALTH CHECK & LOBBY ACCESS

Recommended Parental Temperature Check - Persons registering a temperature of 100.4 degrees or over should not be in the lobby area. If your child has a temperature or is not feeling well, please be mindful to keep them home until they are fever free for 48 hours.

 

Face Mask Recommended for Chronic Sneezing/Coughing - Face masks are not require. Students will not be required to wear a face mask while participating in dance class. If you are sneezing or coughing from allergies, we ask that you wear a face-mask.

 

Lobby Access - KKS is open for DROP OFF, PICK UP & SHOPPING! No waiting during classes will be permitted. We appreciate your understanding to keep lobby capacity low so student capacity can be high.

TRAINED FACULTY

All faculty are fully trained into a cleaning force at our studio & will mobilize in disinfecting all high touch & high traffic areas after each class at the studio.

 

All of us here at KKS will help students with hand-washing if needed & encourage the use of our studio hand sanitizers. 

 

All faculty are fully trained on positive re-enforcement & sensitivity to all student’s emotional needs during high stress times.

AIR PURIFIERS WITH TRUE HEPA FILTER TECHNOLOGY

We have purchased a True HEPA Filter Air Purifiers for the studio. The CDC recommends the addition of air purifiers to aid in the prevention of virus spread.

 

In addition we have purchased and will continually using a higher efficient air filter for all our HVAC Systems. True HEPA filters will filter out completely microns down to .3 microns with 99.97% efficiency rate.

DAILY DEEP CLEAN

We are using industrial strength cleaners to perform daily deep cleaning on all surfaces in the studio on a continuous basis at the end of each day of studio use.

 

For more general, ongoing cleaning, we are using a hospital grade and EPA registered disinfectant solution that kills 99.9% germs & viruses. 

 

General cleaning will be performed in between all classes throughout the night upon class change.

SANITIZER STATIONS & HAND SANITIZER PUMPS

We have sanitizer stations located in each ballroom and throughout the studio which contain medical grade disinfectants for surface wipe downs.

There are more hand sanitizer pumps available in all ballrooms and through the studio for student & faculty use.

INCREASED SPACE BETWEEN STUDENTS

You will notice deliberate spacing between students in class.

 

We will have markers for line up to go across the floor.

NEW CUBBIE & STUDENT BAG POLICY

Our dance cubbies will be cleaned nightly.

 

Students will be asked to bring into the studio one dance bag and one water bottle for their use for the time of class. Please refrain from multiple bags & needing to change clothing.

 

Student bags & student belongings will be placed around the border of the room for proper distancing if needed.

REDUCED CLASS SIZE OR CLASSES

Our availability of class size is determined by the amount of people in a class based on square footage.

 

We are adding a 5 minute buffer between classes for cleaning.

NEW PORTABLE BALLET BARRES

We have made brand new portable Ballet Barres for our student’s use.

 

Students will have bar locations to ensure proper learning space.

 

All Ballet Barres will be cleaned after each class.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Helping to keep our communities safe and healthy is top priority and there are a few things you can do to follow the current CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Most importantly, if you feel sick, have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing or in the last 2 weeks been in close contact with a person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19, please stay home to rest and recover.

USE HAND SANITIZER

Use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

SOCIAL DISTANCE

Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even inside your home. If possible, maintain 6 feet between the person who is sick and other household members.

WASH YOUR HANDS

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Face Masks are recommended by KKS.

Face masks are not required during dance classes.
